Before and After School Programs

St. Peter the Fisherman School offers Before School Care from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and After School Care from 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM.

Currently, the Before and After School Program operates only on school days. We would like to see the program operating on non-school days but right now we don't have the funds or the personnel to do this. Eventually we do hope to have a Day Care Program and then we'd be open every day.

Children who come to the Before School Program will be served breakfast of cereal, milk and fruit juice for an additional $1.00 per day. If your child would prefer to bring a "bag breakfast" or eat before he/she comes to school, that's fine too. Children who come to the After School Program will be served a snack for an additional $.50 per day if they want one.

Mrs. Ann O'Connell will be the Before School Program coordinator. Mrs. Bernadine Parizek will be the After School Care coordinator.

The Before and After School Care rooms are located in the back wing of school. the children will not have to go outside to get to or from their classrooms. There are two connected rooms, each with their own bathrooms, in the Before and After School program. One room will be set up with a TV and toys, games, and puzzles for younger children. The other room will be set up with tables and, hopefully, bean bag chairs for the older children so they can do their homework or play board games.

The fee rate is $4.50 an hour for each child, and an additional $.50 for every fifteen minutes beyond an hour. This will pay the coordinator's fee plus buy supplies, and help pay heating, lighting and water for the hour/s when the building would normally be closed. The fee should be paid on one of the first days of the following week. You will receive a bill each Monday for the preceding week. Please sign the contract and return it to school.
